“Tsuchi” is a tool to hammer some objects and swordsmiths use this tool when they make their swords. It is called “Aizuchi” when the master hits a stand while his disciple’s hammering to train a sword blade. As a result, according to the hammering sound that the master hits at hand, the disciples hammer a sword blade adjusting its start and end timing. Then, the Japanese people today use “Aizuchi wo ustu” as an idiom which means matching an answer to the other person’s talk condition…like you often say in English such as “Exactly”, “I see”, “That’s true”, “Indeed”, “Me too”, “Ah. ha..” etc.
