This summer I finally reached to form a team to explore my passion through e-Commerce site as well. However, I will keep my efforts to introduce some artisans with their histories, passions, culture backgrounds and etc. to promote each artisan.
My passion is to bestow Japanese traditional arts onto the next generation by providing opportunities to create a lot of fans of individual artisan. Then, I motivate people to purchase their works which help each artisan making their life better. As a result, they can afford to have their own disciple and pass their works for the future.
I returned to Japan in 2017 spending 16 years life in Seattle, USA. When living in the US, I found that the Japanese swords were facing serious crisis which might disappear its creation in the very near future because of the population decrease, the life style change, surplus of the antique old swords and etc. I started writing my blog for the Japanese sword and martial arts to create some fan network introducing where they were.
Returning here in Fukuoka, I could expand my network among the Japanese traditional artisans not only a Japanese sword but also others who are facing the same crisis for their future.
Focusing on supporting an individual artisan, I believe that it will support their creation and work will be inherited in the future through their disciples.
I want to keep making this efforts with all of your interests and supports. So, I hope some of you stay with me to find what we can do together.
Cheers,
Hiroshi
I really appreciate the passion, dedication & discipline of those artisans on their work (by generations) .... there are so many bankers, engineers, doctors out there but only handful of artisan left and they still performing their work to the highest level. Truly respect them ....
I hope your new endeavour has been blessed with success. Protecting traditional arts and crafts is the surest way to keep alive the soul of a country and its people. My personal artistic vision was immensely realigned after visiting Japan in 2010. Keep up that most important work 🙏🏻
