Turning Point
Yukawa swordsmith seemed to have so many ups and downs in his youth. From the age of 16, he spent his first seven years working as an artist in Tokyo. His work was mainly to draw pictures on the walls of restaurants and clubs.
For two years, he returned to Stockholm and worked in music. Then, he came back to Tokyo again, where he tried to work in music, such as composing, but it did not work out well. After all, he became homesick and spent five years as a subsistence farmer in the Swedish countryside.
It was around the time he restarted his artistic activities from a self-sufficient lifestyle that Matsuba swordsmith, who became his mentor later, contacted his father looking for Swedish steel. After being consulted by his father, Yukawa found the steel and arranged it for Matsuba swordsmith.
Matsuba swordsmith visited Sweden every year since then. When Matsuba swordsmith attended his father's second wedding, Matsuba swordsmith offered Yukawa to make a sword with him. It might be because he was drunk at the wedding but Yukawa didn't accept his invitation at that time.
After that, Yukawa continued to live a self-sufficient life in the countryside for seven years, and he was already 40 years old.
